Plus Size Celebrities

If you think that plus size women don’t get to be successful actresses or singers then you’re wrong. There are lots of plus size celebrities in Hollywood. Some of these women are very successful in what they do and they even flaunt their curves on the screen and also on stage when there are concerts.
One particular actress is Sara Ramirez. She is a plus size actress and you might recognize her in the role she plays as Betty’s older sister in Ugly Betty and a surgeon in Grey’s Anatomy. You see, you can become an actress even if you are plus size. So use those home security recording cameras and equipment and make a good video for your application to movie or theater roles.

Well, I applaud you for your efforts, but for the record, Sara has never appeared on Ugly Betty. (She should!) Grey’s is her first and only major television role. She has also had very small roles in You’ve Got Mail, Spiderman and a handful of other movies, as well as some guest spots on Law & Order, Spin City, NYPD Blue, etc.
And while she has been considered plus size at the point of these photos, I would say she is probably around a size 6 now. She started on Grey’s around a size 10-12 and probably got up to a 14 or 16. Now she’s tiny. That thing about the camera adding pounds? Totally accurate. She looks heavier on the show than she does in real life. I actually thought she looked better a little curvier. Sara is lucky. She is absolutely stunning at any size.

More and more retailers realize that you cant sell plus size clothing to plus size people using regular size models, so i think that the potential for plus size models is on the increase.

Reminds me of the movie by America Ferrera. She was quite big in that movie too and she played her role very well. She is also a great actress and i commend her for her role in ugly betty!

Seeing as your average American female is a size 12, I think it’s rather refreshing to finally have actresses and models who look human, just like us, rather than some Aushwitz victim.
