Tips for the Tempting Apple

feature photo

Women whose body shape is comparable to that of an apple generally top heavy rather than on the bottom part of their bodies. They are described as having wide torsos and have relatively thin thighs and upper legs. It is very common for them to have large chests and stomach coupled with slim hips. Apples are more inclined to gain weight either above the level of the waist or on their backside. Stored fat are often located around the midsection including the abdomen, stomach, and bust area. This poses a bigger problem to them in the way they could wear their clothes as well as in the aspect of health. Since fats build up on the upper part of the body, it could also affect the surrounding internal organs such as the liver, kidneys, and most important of all the heart.

Recommended Work Out

If you have an apple shaped body, focusing on aerobic training is highly suggested. This will help you eliminate the build up of body fat on those very critical areas. As a matter of fact, this could be a great way for you to slim down. You may also work on the lower portion of your body by performing low resistance exercises involving a lesser number of repetitions. Examples of this are stair climbing, walking on an inclined plane, running, leg presses, dead lifts, and leg squats. These are some of the routines that would help you balance your chest and shoulders.

What to Wear

Apples would look good in skirts and trousers having a straight cut. You should avoid tailored or very fitted garments especially the ones with distinct waistbands since this will only call unwanted attention to the mid section.

In choosing the appropriate color, you should avoid matching pieces of clothing that differ in hue. Go for monochromatic outfits since this will create an overall effect and impression of length. Mixing a variety of colors is definitely a “No, No”.

It is also important to take note that large pockets will draw attention to the upper body. They are often unflattering so it is better that you do away with them.
